SNOWBIKETECH GAIN 2 – First Look at the New SnowScoot Board Sample
Share
Today we’re taking a closer look at another new model from our SnowScoot New Model Preview Event at TOOLATE SPORTS — the SNOWBIKETECH GAIN 2.
The production version is planned to feature a stylish black and wood graphic, while this early sample comes in blue.
Even though it is still a prototype, the overall finish already looks very good.

New Front Board Shape
Like the original GAIN, the GAIN 2 uses a relatively square front board shape.
Compared with the first generation, the top of the nose is wider and the nose height feels slightly lower.
When the SnowScoot is leaned over, the edge begins to make contact from the front nose area. The shape appears designed to initiate edging directly from the nose, giving the GAIN 2 a different character from the original GAIN.
The effective front edge length is surprisingly long — almost what you would expect from a carving-oriented board.
The rear section of the front board tapers into a flatter tail shape, while still keeping enough surface area for powder performance.

More Grip from the Rear Board
The rear board has a relatively long tail extension.
This should help the tail stay engaged on harder snow and make it more difficult for the rear of the SnowScoot to wash out during turns.
With the front edge already in contact, the rear board initially sits slightly higher as the machine is leaned over. Once the rider adds body weight, the edge should gradually engage.
It looks like an interesting balance between easy turn initiation, carving grip and all-mountain control.

Wide Frame Compatibility
The GAIN 2 sample has plenty of mounting holes and should work with many SnowScoot frames.
It also supports the shorter mounting pitch used on our AR Series frames.
For this display, we installed the GAIN 2 sample on the new SNOWBIKETECH BASIC 2 frame.
SNOWBIKETECH has always been good at creating rocker-style boards with smooth nose and tail rise, giving them a powder-ski-like feeling combined with easy turning performance.
The production GAIN 2 is also expected to be available in three different flex options, allowing riders to choose according to body weight and riding style.

Coming Soon
The official release date and retail price have not yet been announced.
But from this first sample, the GAIN 2 looks like a very promising all-round SnowScoot board for carving, hardpack and powder riding.
The sample will be on display at TOOLATE SPORTS through August 16, 2026.
On the final day, August 16, a representative from SNOWBIKETECH will also be at the shop to explain the new products in person.
