SNOWSCOOT DOC BEEFROST EASY SOFT – A Long, Narrow Snowscoot Board for Carving and Powder
A rare and interesting Snowscoot board set has arrived from the French SNOWSCOOT DOC and BEEFROST lineup.
The BEEFROST EASY SOFT combines a full-length, all-mountain shape with a noticeably narrow board width.
With an overall length of approximately 1,850 mm and a width of approximately 290 mm, it offers the stability, effective edge length, and flotation of a long board while remaining quick and easy to move from edge to edge.
Narrow, but Still Capable in Powder
A narrow board may sound like it would sink easily in deep snow.
However, the BEEFROST EASY has enough overall length and surface area to provide useful flotation in powder, while its slim shape makes it easier to lean into a turn and transition quickly between edges.
This creates an unusual balance:
- Quick edge-to-edge handling
- Easy turn initiation
- Long effective edge
- Stable rear-board grip
- Useful flotation in soft snow
The long effective edge is especially noticeable on icy slopes and steeper terrain.
The rear board continues to hold through the second half of the turn, helping prevent the tail from washing out when the snow becomes hard or uneven.
Approximately 9-Meter Sidecut Radius
The sidecut radius is approximately 9 meters.
It can produce large, smooth carving turns, but the narrow shape also makes it suitable for sharper short and medium-radius turns at moderate speed.
This makes it particularly enjoyable on gentle and medium-gradient slopes, where the rider can quickly change direction and carve with relatively little effort.
The nose and tail also have a relatively low profile.
When the board is leaned over, more of the edge remains in contact with the snow, creating a long and stable edging zone.
In simple terms:
It is narrow enough to move quickly, but long enough to hold the turn.
Compatible with DOC and JYKK / SUNN Mounting Patterns
The rear board supports both:
- 233 mm SNOWSCOOT DOC mounting pattern
- 385 mm JYKK / SUNN mounting pattern
For the most direct and responsive BEEFROST riding feel, we recommend the 233 mm DOC mounting position.
The 385 mm JYKK-style mounting position increases the distance between the mounting points and gives the rear board a more stable and familiar feeling.
For many riders, the 385 mm position will provide an easy and confidence-inspiring setup.
European Soft Flex
This model uses the SOFT FLEX construction.
However, “Soft” is based on European riding standards.
It is not excessively soft or lacking in support. The actual riding feel is closer to what would generally be described as a medium flex in Japan.
The board is easy to bend and control at lower speeds, while still providing enough support and rebound for carving, variable snow conditions, and more aggressive riding.
It may also suit lighter riders or anyone who prefers a board that is easier to actively flex through the turn.
